Beer-Cheese Soup

Ingrediënten

Makes 4 to 6 cups / Preparation: 15 min, Cooking: 16 min

  • 2 ½ cups of milk
  • 1 12-ounce bottle of beer, divided
  • 2 5-ounce jars of processed cheese spread
  • 1 10 1/2-ounce can of condensed chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 dashes of hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch

Instructies

  • Combine 2 1/2 cups of milk and 3/4 cup of beer in a Dutch oven.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  • Add cheese spread and the next 3 ingredients.
  • Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  • Combine cornstarch and the remaining beer; add to the cheese mixture.
  • Simmer, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes or until thickened (do not boil).
