Beer-Cheese Soup
For a Hearty Beer and Cheese Delight
Ingrediënten
Makes 4 to 6 cups / Preparation: 15 min, Cooking: 16 min
- 2 ½ cups of milk
- 1 12-ounce bottle of beer, divided
- 2 5-ounce jars of processed cheese spread
- 1 10 1/2-ounce can of condensed chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 dashes of hot sauce
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
Instructies
- Combine 2 1/2 cups of milk and 3/4 cup of beer in a Dutch oven.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- Add cheese spread and the next 3 ingredients.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- Combine cornstarch and the remaining beer; add to the cheese mixture.
- Simmer, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes or until thickened (do not boil).
