Butterscotch Cookies

Portions:8 dozen cookies

Ingrediënten

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup shortening or lard
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructies

  • Mix all ingredients but the nuts thoroughly in a mixer.
  • Stir the nuts in by hand.
  • Roll the dough into ropes about 2 inches thick.
  • Cut in thin slices.
  • Crosspress with a fork to make a design.
  • Bake at 350° for 8–12 minutes.
