Cheesy Chicken Patties
The addition of onion and cheese in this recipe lends a moistness and creaminess to counter the low-fat meat, and it gives a flavour that blends well with the simply seasoned salt and pepper.

- 450 grams chicken mince
- 1 ½ tablespoons peeled and diced brown onion
- ¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg white beaten
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructies
- Preheat air fryer at 180°C for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and form into four patties, making a slight indentation in the middle of each patty.
- (Patties tend to puff up in the middle during the cooking process, so making an indentation will ensure the patty doesn’t become a meatball.)
- Add two patties to air fryer basket lightly greased with olive oil and cook for 6 minutes.
- Flip patties and cook for an additional 7 minutes, until internal temperature is at least 75°C.
- Transfer cooked patties to a large serving plate and repeat cooking with remaining patties.
- Serve warm.
