Chicken and Grits

A classic Southern dish, grits pair well with a variety of main dishes such as shrimp, pork, and sausage. Grits taste delicious here mixed with chopped cooked chicken.

Ingrediënten

  • Makes 4 to 6 servings / Prep: 10 min. Cook: 15 min., Bake: 30 min.
  • 2 14-ounce cans chicken broth
  • 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits
  • 1 8-ounce jar process cheese spread
  • 3 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning

Instructies

  • Bring broth to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat; stir in grits.
  • Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes; stir occasionally.
  • Add cheese and remaining ingredients, stirring well.
  • Pour into a greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 minutes.
