Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 100 g butter softened
- 75 g soft brown sugar
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 175 g self-raising flour
- 100 g dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 4).
- Grease two baking trays.
- Cream the butter and soft brown sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the golden syrup, self-raising flour, dark chocolate chips, and milk until a dough forms.
- Drop a teaspoonful of the mixture onto the prepared trays, spacing them out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the trays for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
