Chopped Steakhouse Salad

Although the plain walnuts lend an excellent crunch to this salad, try adding Candied Walnuts for an extra boost of flavour.

Equipment

Ingrediënten

  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 340 gram strip steak
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 small head iceberg lettuce cut into thin strips
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup blue cheese crumbled
  • 4 medium cherry tomatoes halved
  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries

Instructies

  • Whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sour cream and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
  • Refrigerate covered until ready to use.
  • Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
  • Season steak with salt and pepper.
  • Place in air fryer basket lightly greased with olive oil.
  • Cook for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 4 minutes or until cooked to your liking.
  • Transfer steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer lettuce to a large serving bowl and toss with dressing, then transfer to two medium bowls.
  • Thinly slice steak and add to salads.
  • Garnish with walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes and blueberries.
  • Serve.
