Chorizo Puffs
Hojaldrados de Chorizo
Ingrediënten
- ½ pound puff pastry dough homemade or store-bought
- ¼ pound 2 links chorizo, cut into ¼-inch slices
- 1 large egg yolk lightly beaten (for brushing)
Instructies
- Place an oven rack in the upper position.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Roll out the puff pastry dough to a thickness of ⅛ inch.
- Cut the rolled-out dough into 16 rounds, each approximately 1½ inches in diameter.
- Place one slice of chorizo in the center of each pastry round.
- Brush the edges of the pastry round with the lightly beaten egg yolk.
- Cover each chorizo slice with a second pastry round, pressing the edges together with a fork to seal.
- Place the assembled chorizo puffs on a cookie sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the puffs are lightly browned.
- Serve the Chorizo Puffs hot.
