Chorizo Puffs

Ingrediënten

  • ½ pound puff pastry dough homemade or store-bought
  • ¼ pound 2 links chorizo, cut into ¼-inch slices
  • 1 large egg yolk lightly beaten (for brushing)

Instructies

  • Place an oven rack in the upper position.
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  • Roll out the puff pastry dough to a thickness of ⅛ inch.
  • Cut the rolled-out dough into 16 rounds, each approximately 1½ inches in diameter.
  • Place one slice of chorizo in the center of each pastry round.
  • Brush the edges of the pastry round with the lightly beaten egg yolk.
  • Cover each chorizo slice with a second pastry round, pressing the edges together with a fork to seal.
  • Place the assembled chorizo puffs on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the puffs are lightly browned.
  • Serve the Chorizo Puffs hot.
