- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1.5 pounds ground round beef
- 2 cans 12 oz each Heinz brown gravy
- 1 packet envelope onion soup mix
- 2 cans 15 oz each red kidney beans
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- ¼ cup bottled Italian dressing
- 12 oz V-8 Juice
- 4 teaspoons sugar or 3 packets of Equal
Instructies
- In a 2-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Brown ground round beef, crumbling with a fork until pink color disappears and beef is mashed to the size of rice.
- Stir in Heinz brown gravy, onion soup mix, red kidney beans, chili powder, cumin powder, bottled Italian dressing, V-8 Juice, and sugar.
- Stir well and often, reduce heat to low, and simmer until piping hot.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with shredded cheese, sour cream, or diced onions.
