Ingrediënten

  • 4 large apples such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. butter melted
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ cup raisins or dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup apple juice or cider

Instructies

  • Core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins/cranberries.
  • Stuff each apple with the oat mixture.
  • Pour the apple juice or cider into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Place the stuffed apples in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until the apples are tender.
  • Serve warm.
