Flank Steak

Try this Asian-inspired steak with sautéed mushrooms. You can either grill it outdoors or broil it indoors.

Ingrediënten

Makes 6 servings

  • ¼ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup lite soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger or ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 1-pound flank steaks

Prep: 10 min., Chill: 8 hrs., Grill: 20 min.

Instructies

  • Combine first 6 ingredients in a large zip-top freezer bag, and add steak.
  • Seal and chill at least 8 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  • Remove steaks from marinade, discarding marinade.
  • Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) 10 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.
  • Cut steaks diagonally across the grain into thin strips.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:

To broil steaks, place on a lightly greased rack in a broiler pan. Broil 5½ inches from heat 10 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.
