Flank Steak with Creamy Horseradish Sauce
Flank steak is one of the most under-utilised cuts of beef because of its inexpensive nature, yet it rivals the tenderness of filet mignon if cut against the grain. The cool and creamy horseradish sauce adds a little kick to the steak.

For Creamy Horseradish Sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 ½ tablespoons plain Greek yoghurt
- 1 ½ tablespoons mayonnaise
- ¾ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
For Flank Steak
- 1 340 gram flank steak, cut in half
- 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructies
To make Creamy Horseradish Sauce:
- Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl and refrigerate covered until ready to use.
To make Flank Steak:
- Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
- Rub flank steak halves with olive oil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Place steaks in ungreased air fryer basket.
- Cook for 4 minutes.
- Flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until it is cooked to your liking.
- Transfer steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes, then thinly slice against the grain and place on two medium plates.
- Drizzle horseradish sauce over steaks and serve immediately.
