Grilled Pizza Perfection

Ingrediënten
For the Pizza Base:
- 1 gluten-free pizza crust or traditional if preferred
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Toppings:
- 150 g tomato sauce
- 200 g mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 bell pepper thinly sliced
- ½ red onion thinly sliced
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil for drizzling
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructies
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (around 200°C or 400°F).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a clean, floured surface and brush with olive oil on both sides.
- Place the pizza crust directly on the grill grates and cook for 2-3 minutes, until it begins to crisp and has grill marks.
- Flip the pizza dough and spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the grilled side.
- Add the shredded mozzarella, bell peppers, and red onion slices.
- Close the grill lid and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the crust is golden and crispy.
- Remove the pizza from the grill and drizzle with a little olive oil.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves, salt, and pepper.
- Slice and serve.
