  • ¾ cup HERSHEY’S Cocoa or HERSHEY’S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructies

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
  • Place the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave on HIGH (100%) for 2 to 2½ minutes or until melted.
  • Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the cocoa powder until well blended.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  • Frost if desired, then cut into bars and serve.
