Homemade Beef Tortillas
Equipment
- 1 large frying pan
- aluminum foil ,or dampened paper towels for warming tortillas,
- 1 baking dish
Ingrediënten
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 tortillas corn or flour
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 cup frozen corn
- ½ can 14-16 oz tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste

- cumin
- chili powder
- coriander
Instructies
Preheat Oven:
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Brown Ground Beef: In a large frying pan, crumble the ground beef and add the chopped onion.
- Saute over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about 10-15 minutes.
- Drain any excess grease from the pan.
Add Tomato Sauce and Seasonings:
- To the browned beef and onion mixture, add the crushed garlic, tomato sauce, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook until the mixture thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.
Stir in Frozen Corn:
- Stir in the frozen corn and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the corn is heated through.
- Remove the pan from the heat.
Warm Tortillas:
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave (wrapped in dampened paper towels) or in the oven (wrapped in foil) for a few minutes to make them pliable.
Assemble Tortillas:
- Place a portion of the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
- Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and any additional spices if desired.
Roll Up Tortillas:
- Roll up each tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go to enclose the filling.
- Bake: Place the rolled-up tortillas in a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 5-10 minutes to warm through.
Serve:
- Serve the beef tortillas hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
