Ingrediënten

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Karo corn syrup
  • ½ teaspoon maple flavoring
  • Optional:
  • Butter flavoring to taste

Instructies

  • In a mixing bowl, combine water, granulated sugar, brown sugar, Karo (corn syrup), and maple flavoring.
  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  • Allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool.
  • Once cooled, pour the homemade maple syrup into a bottle.
  • If desired, add butter flavoring to enhance the richness of the syrup.
  • Cover the bottle tightly and refrigerate.
