Homemade Stroganoff-Style Steak
Ingrediënten
- 1 lb. beef cube steak quartered
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1.35- oz. package onion soup mix
- 1 cube beef bouillon
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup fat-free sour cream
Optional:
- ¼ cup sliced mushrooms
- Cooked egg noodles or mashed potatoe
Instructies
- Season the cube steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak and brown on both sides.
- In a bowl, combine onion soup mix, beef bouillon cube, and boiling water.
- Stir until the bouillon is dissolved.
- Pour the soup mixture over the steak, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the steak is no longer pink in the center.
- Add sour cream and mushrooms (if using).
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.

Serve the Stroganoff-Style Steak over cooked egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
