Hot Cheesy Biscuits
This is the perfect recipe if you want to make biscuits and don’t own biscuit cutters. You drop these lumpy favorites onto baking sheets just like cookie dough.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 cup 4 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup shortening
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructies
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl; cut in cheese and shortening with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
- Add buttermilk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 450° for 9 minutes or until golden.
