Hot Dog Bread

This bread is just fun. It gives you that pigs-in-a-blanket feel without any of the carb-laden guilt. And don’t forget to buy some mustard or no–sugar-added tomato sauce, or make some ketchup at home, to dip this in for the full experience!

Equipment

Ingrediënten

  • ½ cup finely ground almond flour
  • ¼ cup arrowroot flour
  • ¾ tablespoon erythritol sweetener
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons butter melted
  • ¾ tablespoon no-added-sugar tomato paste
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon unflavoured gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 beef hot dogs cut into 1cm sections

Instructies

  • Preheat air fryer at 150°C for 3 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine flours, erythritol, baking powder and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine butter, tomato paste, egg, gelatin and thyme.
  • Add butter mixture to flour mixture and stir until smooth.
  • Fold in hot dogs.
  • Spoon mixture into an ungreased pizza pan.
  • Place pan in air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from basket and let set for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
