Ice Water White Cake

Ingrediënten

  • ½ cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • cups cake flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • cups ice water
  • ¼ tsp. almond flavoring optional
  • 4 eggs whites stiffly beaten

Instructies

  • Cream shortening.
  • Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy.
  • Sift dry ingredients together.
  • Add alternately with ice water and flavoring, if desired, to creamed shortening.
  • Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  • Bake in 2 greased cake layer pans at 350° for 30 minutes.
