Italian Sausage and Spinach Bowtie Pasta

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 hot Italian pork sausage links sliced into thirds
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 2 cans 15 ounces each cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 10- ounce package fresh spinach
  • Garlic powder and dried basil to taste
  • 12- ounce package bowtie pasta cooked

Instructies

  • In a Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Cook sausage until browned on all sides and no longer pink in the center.
  • Stir in chopped tomato and simmer until the tomato is soft, stirring occasionally.
  • Add cannellini beans and seasonings; heat through.
  • Fold in fresh spinach, cover, and simmer until spinach is wilted, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Stir in cooked bowtie pasta, tossing to mix and heat through.
  • Adjust seasonings if needed and serve hot.
