Layered Lettuce and Pea Salad

Ingrediënten

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce coarsely shredded or chopped
  • ½ cup sliced celery
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup chopped green peppers
  • 1 10- oz. package frozen peas or about 2 cups
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • ½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and chopped, or about ½ cup bacon bits, more or less

Instructies

  • In a casserole dish or large salad bowl, layer the first 6 ingredients in the order given.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  • When ready to serve, sprinkle on the cheese and bacon bits.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:

Sometimes I make this salad with fresh peas instead of frozen, which I personally like better.
