Layered Lettuce and Pea Salad
Ingrediënten
- 1 head iceberg lettuce coarsely shredded or chopped
- ½ cup sliced celery
- ¼ cup diced onion
- ½ cup chopped green peppers
- 1 10- oz. package frozen peas or about 2 cups
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- ½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon cooked and chopped, or about ½ cup bacon bits, more or less
Instructies
- In a casserole dish or large salad bowl, layer the first 6 ingredients in the order given.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
- When ready to serve, sprinkle on the cheese and bacon bits.
Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:
Sometimes I make this salad with fresh peas instead of frozen, which I personally like better.
