Mozzarella Beef Goulash Bake

- 2 pounds ground beef
- ½ pound sliced mushrooms
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 28 ounces spaghetti sauce
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni uncooked
- ½ cup water
- 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Coat a 2 ½-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the chopped garlic, onion, mushrooms, and ground beef for 6-8 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Drain off any excess liquid.
- Add the spaghetti sauce, black pepper, salt, elbow macaroni, and water to the skillet with the beef mixture.
- Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- After baking, remove the casserole dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the goulash.
- Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove the goulash from the oven.
- Serve the Mozzarella Beef Goulash Bake hot, straight from the oven.
