Mozzarella Sticklets
This is a mini versionof those deep-fried delights found on many appetiser menus — minus the oil.Serve these mini sticks with toothpicks and a warm napolitana sauce.

- 1 ½ tablespoons plain flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon full-cream milk
- ½ cup plain bread crumbs
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 280 grams mozzarella cheese block cut into sticks
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
Instructies
- In a small bowl, add flour.
- In another small bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
- Combine bread crumbs, salt and Italian seasoning in a shallow dish.
- Roll a mozzarella sticklet in flour, then dip in egg mixture and then roll in bread crumb mixture.
- Shake off excess between each step.
- Set aside on a plate and repeat with remaining mozzarella.
- Place in freezer for 10 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
- Place half of mozzarella sticklets in fryer basket.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Shake.
- Lightly brush with olive oil.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Shake.
- Cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Transfer to a serving dish.
- Repeat with remaining sticklets and serve warm.
