This Is A Delicious Remake Of The Classic Sloppy Joe. This Version Has Ground Beef, Onions, Peppers, And Mushrooms, Surrounded By A Heavenly Provolone Cheese Sauce. - 1 Pound 85/15 Ground Beef
- 1 ¼ Teaspoons Kosher Salt Divided
- ½ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 ½ Cups Frozen Chopped Onions
- ¾ Cup Frozen Chopped Green Bell Peppers
- 1 Cup Frozen Sliced White Mushrooms
- 2 Cubes Frozen Crushed Garlic
- 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Cup Beef Broth
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 8 Ounces Provolone Cheese Chopped Small
- 8 Hamburger Buns
Instructies
- Heat A Large Skillet Over High Heat.
- When Hot, Spray With Nonstick Spray, Then Add Beef, ½ Teaspoon Salt, And Black Pepper.
- Cook Until Meat Is No Longer Pink And Any Moisture Has Evaporated, About 7 Minutes.
- Transfer Meat To A Bowl, Leaving Any Grease In The Skillet.
- Return Skillet To High Heat And Add Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Garlic, And ¼ Teaspoon Salt.
- Sauté Until Vegetables Soften, About 3–4 Minutes.
- Return Beef To Skillet, Along With Ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce, And Remaining ½ Teaspoon Salt.
- Stir.
- Combine Broth With Cornstarch And Add To The Skillet.
- Cook Until Sauce Thickens, About 2 Minutes, Then Reduce Heat To Medium.
- Add Provolone And Stir To Allow The Cheese To Completely Melt.
- Serve On Hamburger Buns.
