Ingrediënten

  • 12- oz. package of vanilla wafers divided

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 20- oz. can crushed pineapple drained
  • 8- oz. container frozen whipped topping thawed

Garnish:

  • pineapple slices
  • maraschino cherrie

Instructies

  • Layer vanilla wafers in a spacious glass bowl, ensuring the bottom is completely covered, and set aside 8 to 10 wafers for garnish.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  • Gradually stir in the milk.
  • Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
  • Add vanilla extract and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Once the mixture reaches a thick consistency, fold in the drained crushed pineapple.
  • Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the layer of wafers in the bowl and allow it to cool.
  • Top the cooled pudding with the thawed whipped topping.
  • Garnish the Pineapple Delight Bowl with pineapple slices, the reserved wafers, and maraschino cherries.
