Pizza Casserole

Ingrediënten

  • 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped (1¾ cups)
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 14-ounce jar pizza sauce
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ 3.5-ounce package sliced hot and spicy pepperoni, chopped
  • 1 cup 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

Makes 6 servings

Instructies

  • Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Drain pasta, and set aside.
  • Cook ground beef, chopped onion, and bell pepper, stirring constantly, in a Dutch oven over medium heat 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in macaroni, pizza sauce, and next 4 ingredients.
  • Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish.
  • Bake, covered, at 350° for 20 minutes.
  • Uncover; top with cheese, and bake 8 more minutes or until cheese melts.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:

For testing purposes only, we used Ragu Pizza Quick Sauce and Hormel Hot and Spicy Pepperoni.
