Porcupine Balls
This recipe is so easy that your kids can help! These meatballs are
cooked with rice, so the entire dish as a delicious, meaty flavor.
Ingrediënten
- ½ cup of uncooked long grain rice
- ½ cup of water
- ⅓ cup of chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon celery salt
- ⅛ teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 pound of ground beef turkey can be substituted
- 2 tablespoons of canola oil
- 1 can of tomato sauce 15 ounces
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
Instructies
- Combine the rice, ½ cup of water, onion, salt, celery salt, garlic powder, and ground beef in a bowl.
- Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into 1 ½-inch balls.
- Brown meatballs in oil in large skillet.
- Combine the tomato sauce, 1 cup of water, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in another mixing bowl.
- Mix well.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
- Be sure that the rice is fully cooked before serving.
