Ingrediënten

  • 1 lb. pork tenderloin sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers finely crushed
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructies

  • Use a meat mallet to flatten the pork slices; set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine the beaten egg and milk, blending well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the finely crushed saltine crackers, all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip each pork slice into the egg mixture, ensuring it is well-coated, then press it into the crumb mixture until evenly coated.
  • Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the coated pork slices to the hot oil and fry until they are deep golden on both sides and are no longer pink in the middle, turning as needed.
  • Remove the fritters from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
