Quick Goulash with Cheese

Ingrediënten

  • Raw elbow macaroni: 8 ounces
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika: 1 tablespoon
  • Ground beef: 1 pound
  • Dried oregano: 1 teaspoon
  • Diced onion: 1 cup
  • Caraway seed: ¼ teaspoon
  • Sliced celery: 1 cup
  • Cayenne pepper: 1 pinch
  • Minced garlic: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Diced tomatoes: 14.5 ounces
  • Tomato sauce: 10 sauces

Instructies

  • Boil lightly salted water in one large pot and cook macaroni in the simmering water.
  • Stir occasionally and cook for approximately 8 minutes to al dente.
  • Drain macaroni and keep it aside.
  • Crumble ground beef in a casserole (2-quart) dish.
  • Add garlic, celery, and onion.
  • Cook in the microwave for 5 – 6 minutes on high to make it brown.
  • Mix once while cooking and drain off extra grease.
  • Mix the sugar, tomato sauce and tomatoes in the beef and season with salt, cayenne pepper, caraway seed, oregano, and paprika.
  • Cook in microwave on 8 power level for almost 14 minutes to blend all flavors and tender celery.
  • Take it out from microwave and stir in cooked macaroni.
  • Cook for 3 minutes and serve hot.
