Quick Pickled Onions
Ingrediënten
- ¾ cup water
- 1 cup champagne vinegar
- 1½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
- 2 large red onions sliced into ¼-inch rounds
Instructies
- In a 2-quart nonreactive pot, combine water, champagne vinegar, salt, sugar, bay leaves, and black peppercorns.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until salt and sugar dissolve.
- Remove from heat and add sliced onions.
- Let cool completely, then pack into a glass pint jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
