Air Fryer Garlic Broccoli with Asian Sauce
Ingredients
For Air Fryer Broccoli:
- 1 whole broccoli crown
- Avocado oil spray
- ½ tsp garlic granules
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Asian Garlic Sauce:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp ginger minced
- ¾ cup water or broth
- ⅔ cup coconut aminos
- ⅓ cup rice wine vinegar
- ⅛ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
Air Fryer Broccoli:
- Wash the broccoli and cut the florets off with the stem attached into bite-size pieces.
- Spray or drizzle avocado oil onto the broccoli, then season with garlic granules, salt, and pepper.
- Place the broccoli in the air fryer basket and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8 minutes, tossing once in between.
- Adjust cooking time if necessary.
- Once the broccoli is done, transfer it to a serving dish and serve as desired.
Asian Garlic Sauce:
- In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and ginger for 15 to 30 seconds.
- Add water or broth, coconut aminos, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, and sesame oil to the saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/8 cup of the sauce with cornstarch to create a slurry, then pour it into the saucepan.
- Cook the sauce, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Once thickened, remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
