  • 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce
  • 2 thick 1-inch slices of your preferred bread (country white or sourdough)
  • ½ cup leftover mashed potatoes
  • 2 thick slices leftover cooked turkey breast
  • ½ cup leftover cooked green beans
  • cup leftover stuffing
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese or dairy-free cheese alternative
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter at room temperature (or dairy-free butter)
  • ½ cup milk or dairy-free milk
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Spread cranberry sauce on one slice of bread.
  • Layer mashed potatoes, turkey, green beans, stuffing, and cheese on top of the cranberry sauce.
  • Spread butter on the second slice of bread and place it on top of the cheese, butter-side down.
  • Press lightly to compress the sandwich.
  • In a pie dish, combine milk, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip the sandwich in the custard, ensuring both sides are soaked.
  • Transfer the sandwich to the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F until golden brown and warmed throughout, about 12 minutes.
  • Transfer the sandwich to a cutting board, halve diagonally, and dust with powdered sugar.
  • Serve hot with a small bowl of warmed leftover gravy for dipping.
