Apple Bread

Ingredients

  • ½ cup 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 T. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • cup sour milk or ⅓ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and beat well.
  • In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk to the butter mixture; blend well after each addition.
  • Stir in the apples and walnuts.
  • Pour the batter in a greased loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes or until done.
