Asian Sloppy Joes

- skillet 10-inch
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped gingerroot
- 1 package frozen soy-protein burger crumbles 12 oz
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 6 whole wheat burger buns split
Instructions
- In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add onion, bell pepper and gingerroot; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until onion is softened.
- Stir in crumbles, barbecue sauce and soy sauce.
- Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat to low; simmer uncovered 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:
Soy-protein crumbles come both frozen and refrigerated. When frozen, the crumbles do not require thawing.
