Avocado Sandwiches Deluxe
Stir up a pitcher of iced tea, and take these sandwiches out to the patio on a pretty day.
Ingredients
- Makes 2 servings / Prep: 20 min.
- 1 avocado cut into 8 wedges
- ¼ cup Italian dressing
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 4 oatmeal or whole wheat bread slices toasted
- 2 1-ounce processed American cheese slices
- 4 thin tomato slices
- ½ cup alfalfa sprouts
Instructions
- Toss avocado wedges gently with Italian dressing; drain well, reserving dressing.
- Spread mayonnaise evenly over 1 side of each bread slice.
- Top 2 bread slices evenly with American cheese slices, tomato, avocado, and alfalfa sprouts.
- Drizzle sandwiches evenly with reserved Italian dressing, and top with remaining 2 bread slices.
- Serve immediately.
