Ingredients

  • 1 cup stale bread crumbled
  • ½ cup milk
  • 5 large eggs beaten
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Butter for greasing the dish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a shallow pudding dish with butter.
  • In a mixing bowl, soak the crumbled stale bread in the milk until softened.
  • Beat the soaked bread mixture until smooth.
  • Add the beaten eggs and salt to the bread mixture, and mix well to combine.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pudding dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the omelette is set and lightly golden brown on top.
  • Remove from the oven and serve the Baked Bread Omelette immediately in the same dish, as it will fall quickly.
