Baked Fennel
Fennel’s distinct anise, or liquorice, flavour tends to tame once heated. Add a squeeze of lemon and this side dish is perfect alongside proteins like chicken.

- 1 large fennel bulb fronds removed and reserved, sliced
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 lemon wedges
- ¾ tablespoon chopped fennel fronds
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer at 180°C for 3 minutes.
- Brush fennel slices on both sides with olive oil and season with salt.
- Place fennel slices in ungreased air fryer basket.
- Cook for 8 minutes.
- Transfer to a medium serving dish.
- Squeeze lemon on fennel and garnish with chopped fronds.
- Serve warm.
