  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Meatballs:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • Sauce:
  • 1 can 14-16 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  • Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the meatballs.
  • Mix well and roll the mixture into balls.
  • Place the meatballs into a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • In a large saucepan, mix together the crushed tomatoes, dried parsley, and dried basil.
  • Add the baked meatballs to the saucepan and cook over low heat for 1.
  • 5 hours, stirring occasionally, until grease forms on top of the sauce.
  • Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti.
