Baked Spiced Chicken
Ginger, onion and garlic are blended in the coating for this easy baked chicken. Yogurt helps keep it moist.
Ingredients
- 2 fresh whole chicken cut up
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ⅛ tsp ground ginger
- ⅓ cup plain yogurt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Lightly spray a medium baking dish with vegetable cooking spray; set aside.
- Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry.
- In a shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and ginger.
- Dip chicken pieces in yogurt, then into crumb mixture.
- Place in prepared dish.
- Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until chicken is tender.
