Ingredients

  • 4 cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • cup balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz. bow tie pasta cooked according to package instructions
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional, for serving

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and chopped fresh basil.
  • Toss gently to coat the tomatoes evenly with the dressing.
  • Allow the tomato mixture to marinate for at least 10 minutes to develop flavors.
  • While the tomatoes are marinating, cook the bow tie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain well.
  • Once the pasta is cooked and drained, transfer it to a serving platter or individual plates.
  • Spoon the marinated cherry tomato mixture over the cooked pasta, distributing it evenly.
  • Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
