Bangin’ Chicken Wings

The air fryer will cook these chicken wings to perfection! Crispy, creamy, sweet and spicy — you’ll feel like you’re dining out with these restaurant-quality wings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tablespoons sesame oil
  • ¼ teaspoon fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoons coconut aminos
  • 2 teaspoons sambal oelek
  • 1 teaspoon erythritol sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 910 grams chicken wings split at the joint
  • ¾ tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Combine sesame oil, fish sauce, coconut aminos, sambal oelek, erythritol and lime juice in a medium bowl.
  • Divide mixture in half.
  • Toss wings in half of sauce, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Cover and refrigerate other half.
  • Preheat air fryer at 120°C for 3 minutes.
  • Place water in bottom of air fryer to ensure minimum smoke from fat drippings.
  • Place wings in ungreased air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes.
  • Flip wings and cook for an additional 6 minutes.
  • Raise temperature on air fryer to 200°C.
  • Flip wings and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Flip wings once more and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Transfer wings to bowl with remaining sauce and toss.
  • Serve.

What Is Sambal Oelek?
Sambal oelek is an Indonesian chili paste usually containing salt, vinegar and a variety of other spices. Found at major supermarkets, it actually has the same ingredients and heat level as sriracha, but with zero sugars, so it’s perfect for a low-carb diet!
