Beef Stew & Biscuits

This tried & true one-pot meal isperfect for Sunday dinner.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ¼ c. onion chopped
  • ¼ t. dried basil
  • t. pepper
  • 3-1/2 c. frozen or canned mixed vegetables
  • 2 8- oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese cubed
  • 12- oz. tube refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

  • In a skillet, brown beef and onion; drain.
  • Add seasonings, mixed vegetables and tomato sauce; mix well.
  • Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Fold in cheese cubes; pour into an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Arrange biscuits on top.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden.
