Bell Swiss Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • ½ lb bulk Italian turkey sausage
  • ½ onion chopped
  • ½ red bell pepper chopped
  • 6 C. water
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard chopped
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon such as Knorr(R)
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsps grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Place a large pot on medium heat.
  • Cook in it the sausages for 6 min.
  • Remove the sausages from the pot and set them aside.
  • Remove the grease.
  • Stir the sausages back into the pot with bell pepper and onion.
  • Cook them for 3 min.
  • Stir in the water with Swiss chard, chicken bouillon, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning.
  • Adjust the heat to medium.
  • Cook them for 20 min.
  • Garnish the soup with cheese then serve it warm.
