Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Combine brown sugar, shortening, butter, and salt.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Add milk and boil slowly, 3 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Add sugar and beat until thick enough to spread.
