Ingredients
- 2⅔ cups milk
- 8 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 40 slices American cheese
Instructions
- Heat milk and butter, stirring, just until boiling.
- Remove from heat.
- Add salt.
- Add cheese 1 slice at a time, stirring until dissolved.
- Cool before serving.

Best when served at room temperature.
