Creamy Misti Doi

- Heavy-bottomed saucepan
- Oven-proof dish
Ingredients
- 2 cups full-fat milk
- 1 tablespoon yogurt/curds/dahi
- ½ cup sugar
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, bring the milk to a boil over medium heat.
- Add sugar to the boiling milk and mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Let the milk mixture cool down to room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to the “Warm” setting.
- Transfer the cooled milk mixture to an oven-proof dish.
- Add yogurt to the milk mixture and mix well to combine.
- Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and let it stand overnight (at least 8 hours) to allow the yogurt to set and ferment.
- Once set, transfer the misti doi to the refrigerator to chill.
- Serve the chilled misti doi as a delightful dessert.
