Crispy Baked Tofu Fries
Enjoy these crispy tofu fries as a healthy snack or side dish, perfect for dipping into your favorite sauces!
Equipment
- Baking sheet with rim
- medium-size saucepan
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon 15 ml agave nectar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon dried basil optional
- 1 tablespoon 6 g mild to medium curry powder
- 1 tablespoon 15 ml peanut oil
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 12 ounces 340 g extra-firm tofu, drained, simmered, cut into 14 fries, and patted dry
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C, or gas mark 6).
- Prepare a large rimmed baking sheet.
- Coat the tofu evenly with oil, salt, curry powder, basil, and agave, if using.
- Place the tofu fries on the baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Flip the tofu fries over using tongs or a spatula.
- Bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the fries are extra crispy.
- Serve warm with your preferred dipping sauce.
