Crispy Maitake Mushrooms with Sesame Infusion

- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 7 ounces maitake hen of the woods mushrooms
- ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
- ½ teaspoon sesame seeds
- ½ teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
- Place the maitake mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket and drizzle them with the soy sauce mixture.
- Cook at 300°F for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle the mushrooms with flaky sea salt, sesame seeds, and chopped thyme.
- Drizzle the remaining 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil over the mushrooms.
- Continue cooking until the mushrooms are browned and crisp at the edges and tender inside, about 5 minutes more.
- Remove the mushrooms from the air fryer, transfer them to plates, and serve hot.
