Dill Pickle Roll-Ups

Dill pickle roll-ups were a staple throughout Makenna’s childhood and have continued to be just that for us both over the years. They’re simple, creamy, tangy and delicious. Not to mention that the majority of the ingredients are usually refrigerator staples, making them an easy snack when you’re not sure what to eat. You can dress them up by adding more veggies or dress them down by simplifying the ingredients to just turkey, cream cheese and pickles. No matter how you slice it, we think you’re going to love them!

Ingredients

yield: 3 rolls

  • 6 slices deli turkey
  • 3 tbsp 45 g dairy-free cream
  • cheese
  • 3 leaves red lettuce
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml Mustard Vinaigrette
  • 3 baby dill pickles
  • 3 fresh chives

Instructions

  • Lay 2 slices of deli turkey flat on a clean work surface, overlapping the ends.
  • Then, repeat with the remaining 4 slices, so you have 3 groups of 2 overlapping slices.
  • Working assembly line–style, spread the cream cheese on the turkey.
  • Then top the cream cheese with 1 lettuce leaf per turkey roll and a drizzle of the Mustard Vinaigrette.
  • Finally, place 1 pickle per two slices of turkey on the far edge and roll up the ingredients.
  • Wrap a chive around the wrap and carefully tie it into a knot.
  • Alternatively, you can secure the roll-ups with toothpicks through the center, or you can even slice and serve the roll-ups.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:
