Easy Turkey Meatballs

These low-fat meatballs are filled with enough protein to curb your appetite for hours. These are best served with fettuccine noodles. Add tomatoes and garlic for an Italian twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground turkey
  • ¼ cup of chopped onion
  • ½ of dried bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of Parmesan plus additional Parmesan for serving
  • teaspoon of salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • ¼ basil thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  • Mix turkey, onion, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. It should make about 36 meatballs.
  • Bake the meatballs for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are no longer pink.
  • Mix the meatballs with pasta, and cover the dish with basil and Parmesan cheese.
